Rob McGregor (Bryan Brown F/X) is the charismatic owner of a popular Paddington bookshop living an open marriage with his academic wife Gretel and still holding onto the 60s spirit of 'free love'. While Gretel is pursuing an affair, Rob learns of the death of Lisa Blaine, an activist friend from his past. As Rob starts looking for reasons behind Lisa's suicide, he comes in contact with her friend Lou (Judy Davis, Damage), a prostitute and heroin addict wrestling with her own personal demons... the two are drawn together and when Rob rallies Lou to free herself from her addiction she temporarily moves into his house going cold turkey... adding further strains to his already complicated life. Set in the mysterious Philippines, a lonely wife rediscovers an old flame while her husband investigates rumors of political suppression. Twenty years earlier, Jo and Morgan were lovers in Saigon and although time has passed, it is obvious the flame could be rekindled. But when Peter is captured by secret Government troops, tortured and faced with certain death, Morgan is the only one who can rescue him. John Duigan (Sirens) stylishly directs this haunting film inspired by the classic, Casablanca.

Most orders for in-stock items take less than 24 hours to ship (may take longer if you place an order over the weekend). Pre-orders are shipped as soon as the product arrives. International pre-orders may not come in before the street date. This is especially true with Australian pre-orders.
We only use USPS for all shipments. If there is an issue after your order ships you will need to contact your local post office.

All items that come with a slipcover will say so in the product page.
Pre-orders will not say WITH SLIPCOVER until the product comes in.
Slipcovers are not guaranteed to be in mint condition.
If you can order it, it's either in stock or a pre-order. If an item is out of stock you will not be able to add it to your cart. It's rare but our inventory may not be correct. So in some cases an item may have to be shipped separately.

We do not sell bootlegs. All product arrives from the distributor or is directly from the filmmakers. All items are new and sealed. Some indie titles or signed editions may not have shrinkwrap.
