PRODUCT INFORMATION
One of the most celebrated and successful films of Australian cinema history, SHINE swept the pool of local awards in 1996, winning nine AFI Awards. The following year SHINE became an international phenomenon scoring seven Oscar nominations, five Golden Globe nominations and nine BAFTA nominations amongst many other international awards. After Geoffrey Rush was awarded an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for Best Actor, his acting career was completely transformed. Shine is still as fresh and as compelling as it ever was. This new Special Edition celebrates a remarkable success story for Australian cinema and for the remarkable team that brought the film to the screen after an arduous ten year journey. SHINE is the true story of pianist David Helfgott, his turbulent relationship with his father, his breakdown and eventual redemption through the love of his wife, Gillian. This is a story rich in music and emotion, produced by Jane Scott and directed by Scott Hicks with visual elegance from a brilliant screenplay by Jan Sardi. The cast, led by Geoffrey Rush as the adult David and Noah Taylor as the adolescent David, give career-best performances. The film is an especially fine celebration of the work of four screen legends, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Lynn Redgrave, Googie Withers and John Gielgud. With this exciting new High Definition edition, SHINE is ready to recapture the imagination of its original audience and captivate a whole new generation.

Most orders for in-stock items take less than 24 hours to ship (may take longer if you place an order over the weekend). Pre-orders are shipped as soon as the product arrives. International pre-orders may not come in before the street date. This is especially true with Australian pre-orders.
We only use USPS for all shipments. If there is an issue after your order ships you will need to contact your local post office.

All items that come with a slipcover will say so in the product page.
Pre-orders will not say WITH SLIPCOVER until the product comes in.
Slipcovers are not guaranteed to be in mint condition.
If you can order it, it's either in stock or a pre-order. If an item is out of stock you will not be able to add it to your cart. It's rare but our inventory may not be correct. So in some cases an item may have to be shipped separately.
