LEGEND OF WITCHES
The historical origins of witchcraft in moon-worship and the witches' legend of creation. Initiation rites undergone by the modern witch' divination by birds and animals; Christianity's absorption of pagan rites; revenge killing; the Black Mass. Cecil Williamson's Museum of Witchcraft in Cornwall. Investigations into the efficacy of witchcraft; extra-sensory perception; foretelling the future. All featuring the infamous "King Of The Witches" in the only footage in existance of the King Of Wicca. Alexander Saunders.. who uses this documentary to guide us through his coven. By then, Sanders had been endorsed by a group of 1,623 practicing Wiccans as 'King of the Witches' - with Maxine as 'Witch Queen' - and he turned into a media celebrity. There were TV appearances, late-night talks on radio, a sympathetic biography, record albums of his rituals and this film, The Legend of The Witches, based on his exploits. These were said to include healing people of warts by 'wishing them on someone else, who's already ugly'. Another woman was supposedly cured of cander by Sanders sitting with her in the hospital for three days and nights, holding her feet and pouring 'healing energy' into her. Sanders and Maxine parted in 1973 and he drifted into semi-retirement before moving to Bexhill in East Sussex, where he died in 1988. Like Gardner, his legacy was his own tradition of ritual and belief within the Wicca movement - dubbed 'Alexandrian' in a play on his first name. RT: 72 min, B&W, 1.33:1/4x3; 1969

CITY OF THE DEAD
"This classic of British horror has been painstakingly restored by VCI (with the cooperation of the British Film Institute) and is now complete and uncut; including more than 2 minutes of additional footage, which had been cut from the U.S. version, titled HORROR HOTEL. This also marks the first time ever this uncut version has been seen on video with its original title. THE CITY OF THE DEAD is an extraordinarily good chiller scripted by George Baxt, which still has the power to frighten fans of the horror genre." A college student, Nan Barlow is researching the history of witchcraft. Taunted by her brother and fiancé, who have voiced their concern over her silly notions, Nan arms herself with resolve and drives into the small New England village of Whitewood. She is glad that at least she was able to count on the support of her professor. A bit anxious but consumed with curiosity, she will soon embark herself on the journey of her life! Introducing: VENETIA STEVENSON. RT: 78 min, B&W, 1.66:1, 1960

Most orders for in-stock items take less than 24 hours to ship (may take longer if you place an order over the weekend). Pre-orders are shipped as soon as the product arrives. International pre-orders may not come in before the street date. This is especially true with Australian pre-orders.

We only use USPS for all shipments. If there is an issue after your order ships you will need to contact your local post office.

All items that come with a slipcover will say so in the product page.

Pre-orders will not say WITH SLIPCOVER until the product comes in.

Slipcovers are not guaranteed to be in mint condition.

If you can order it, it's either in stock or a pre-order. If an item is out of stock you will not be able to add it to your cart. It's rare but our inventory may not be correct. So in some cases an item may have to be shipped separately.
