Prepare yourself for an intense and unrelenting journey into the darkest corners of the human experience with the NEW EXTREMITY COLLECTION. Volume 1 features four of the most disturbing and visceral films ever made completely uncut and uncensored.
Volume 1 of the New Extremity Collection brings together some defining titles of the movement. HIGH TENSION is an unrelenting, edge-of-your-seat thriller that redefines modern horror with its intense atmosphere and shocking twists. Evocative and provocative, ANATOMY OF HELL, explores the boundaries of intimacy, sexuality, and human vulnerability. FRONTIER(S) brings brutal violence and survival horror to a chaotic, high-stakes level. MARTYRS is a harrowing exploration of pain, suffering, and transcendence. This curation of taboo-busting films is for the true extremity enthusiast seeking films that challenge, provoke, and leave a lasting impact.
HIGH TENSION
Best friends Marie and Alex set off for a quiet weekend in the countryside, hoping for a peaceful escape at Alex’s family home. But as night falls, their getaway turns into a nightmare when a mysterious intruder arrives, unleashing a brutal game of survival.
A must-watch for fans of psychological and slasher horror, this French extremity classic will leave you breathless.
ANATOMY OF HELL
Set in a hauntingly minimalistic landscape, the story unfolds as two strangers—a woman and a man—enter an unusual arrangement that compels them to confront the raw truths of desire and gender. Through its unflinching gaze and deeply philosophical undertones, the film challenges societal taboos and invites viewers to reflect on the complexities of human connection.
ANATOMY OF HELL is a daring cinematic exploration that blurs the line between art and controversy, offering a bold meditation on the nature of the human condition.
FRONTIER(S)
Fans of visceral, high-stakes survival horror won’t want to miss this edge-of-your-seat experience.
As riots erupt in Paris, a group of young fugitives flees the city, seeking refuge in a remote countryside inn—only to stumble upon a nightmare far worse than anything they left behind. What begins as a desperate escape quickly turns into a relentless fight for survival when they encounter a sadistic family with horrifying secrets.
FRONTIER(S) is a brutal and unrelenting thriller that blends political tension with extreme horror, delivering pulse-pounding action and shocking terror.
MARTYRS
A genre-defining classic so profoundly traumatising, MARTYRS transcends all constraints of your average horror film and dives into the murky depths of human degradation and suffering.
Lucie, a frail, frightened, adolescent girl flees an abandoned slaughterhouse, filthy, starved, and unresponsive. Something horrific has happened to her. But what? Flash-forward 15 years later when the quiet tranquillity of a home nestled in a sparsely populated French forest is interrupted by a knock at the door – it’s Lucie, embarking on a gory quest for revenge.
Pascal Laugier’s 2008 sophomore feature garnered a notorious reputation from the premiere at the Festival de Cannes. MARTYRS is a brutally confronting and provocative example of the French New Extremity, a work of dark brilliance and vile beauty.
