Director Chor Yuen was behind both versions of the powerful story, following the abduction of a young girl, sold into prostitution and entangled in a cruel world of desire and betrayal.
Combining lavish martial arts choreography with explicit, boundary-pushing scenes, these films remain striking examples of Shaw Brothers' high-calibre Wuxia catalogue.
